Parallel bioprocess development and gradual enlargement of scale

This systematic work is the precondition to manage the use of oxidases for a multiplicity of environmentally-friendly production processes of important fine chemicals in a technical scale.
The processed oxidases are about a D-amino acid oxidase from the bacterium Arthrobacter, the L-amino acid oxidase from a Rhodococcus strain as well as the NADH-oxidase from a Lactobacillus brevis. These oxidases were produced, biochemical characterised and two of them even crystallised. Exemplary oxidase-catalysed applications were performed in a small scale and then received an online tracking with help of a specifically developed instrument, the RAMOS-technology.
