Potentials, that, however, could not being adequately adressed or opened up until now. Lead-managed by the Deutscher Naturschutzring DNR, the German umbrella organization of the associations for nature conservation and environmental protection, the project »Honorary commitment in nature conservation« has been developed.

Establishing volunteer management
Among other things, the project aims at introducing the topic volunteer management in the associations and clubs and at raising the interest among employees and volunteers in education courses with the volunteer management‘s methods. So, the DNR has trained in cooperation with the Naturschutzbund Deutschland NABU and the Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland BUND approximately 90 voluntary coordinators. The advanced training offers basic steps of the volunteer management.
