Out of school, straight into nature
Download
Children and teenagers from Germany, France and Switzerland should learn to know and regard nature, meet young people from the neighbour countries and speak their languages, and create new contacts through common action.
Environmental education crosses borders
In the outdoor lab school classes and groups of children and teenagers jointly go in for natural agriculture - they harvest fruits and vegetables and preserve them afterwards. Also excursions to forests, meadows and brooks are on the agenda. The cooperation with a partner class in the outdoor laboratory widens the environmental lessons to an international ecology and culture project. Environmental topics are integrated multidisciplinarily into the everyday life at school. Also language teachers appreciate the offer.
Most of the course topics of the trinational outdoor laboratory span some months so that the project teams can repeatedly visit and cultivate their fields. Thereby the children and teenagers develop useful soft skills.
