The boat runs on low noise- and equal-zero-emission level by means of solar-driven electric engines. Consequently, the contamination of water through exhaust fumes or fuel residues is completely avoided. The ultra lightweight construction of the solar boat as also the hydronomically-optimized body allows an increase of the energy efficiency. Due to the low draught of the SWAN the risks of stranding and sediment damage are dammed. The relinquishment of toxic anti-foulings contributes furthermore to the water protection and an elutriation of biocides doesn‘t occur.
