These admittedly possess the necessary expertise, however, they don‘t market their range of products and services always accordingly. This problem is tackled by the project »Environmental marketing in the trade« from the center for environment and transfer (German abbreviation UTZ) of the Leipzig Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Trade. The concentration on »environmental marketing«, concretely the development of particular marketing activities in ecological building and construction, is the distinguishing characteristic of the project.

Future market »Ecological building and construction«
If it is actively opened up, the ecological building and construction is a future market for the handicraft business. However, only an aimed and convincing marketing can make the customers attentive and achieve corresponding market shares. The UTZ organizes seminars and workshops where technical, professional and marketing competence is communicated. Specific to their particular requirements, the participants can develop their own concepts.
