This leads to an unfavourable heat output and comparatively high pollutant emissions. It therefore was necessary to develop a wood furnace that makes the home more comfortable through visible fire, however, simultaneously requires little effort with the handling and clearly reduces the emissions.
The Southern German company Wodtke GmbH realized these goals with an innovative concept. The oven is heated with wood pellets, that are produced out of remnant wood and untreated shavings. Due to a capacious reservoir, one filling is sufficient for a continuous operation of up to four days. The fuel is forwarded automatically into the burner pot where it burns off under controlled conditions. The capacity of the oven and the burning conditions are controlled by an electronic gear. Thereby an efficiency of up to 90 percent and lowest emission values can be achieved.
