Central points of a project in the Eifel region were contractual nature conservation as also regional marketing. An extension and development of the stipulated nature conservation in the low mountain range Eifel region could be attained. In order to advance the marketing of products at regional level, annually approximately 2,000 locally raised cattle could be sold. Successful sales channels for regional herbage hay were also opened up - altogether measures, that contribute to the preservation of the culture landscape.

Ensuring structural variety
The second project was aimed at nature conservation through structural enrichment in fertile plains. Concepts for a sustainable protection of measures were developed in the framework of the intervention regulation. Numerous farmers established stripes with blooms as biotopes for types of open farmland -
alone in Cologne approximately about 15 km. A foundation named Rheinische Kulturlandschaft was established to ensure and advance sustainable cooperative nature conservation measures.
The developed concepts met wide-ranged interest allover Germany and were transferred already on other regions and landscape areas.
