The project »Ch@t of the worlds« aims at bringing global environmental problems and the interconnected social, cultural and economic effects to students from the 9th class. As practice example serves oil from the Amazon region. Chat for a fair-minded world
The project has a real background: InWEnt and the Climate Alliance support a dialogue process in the Amazon region, that looks how to resolve the conflicts in the oil sector and wants to promote a sustainable regional development. In the »Ch@t of the worlds«, teenagers have the possibility to communicate directly with different local interest groups and protagonists by e-mail. They can get a direct impression about the problems and possible solutions. So-called on-line tutors were trained to answer the sudents‘ questions regarding the Internet use.
