Through well-aimed information and knowledge transfer, students, teachers, farmers and rural women learn which strengths their region offers and how to make it to a starting basis for sustainable development. Economic, ecological, social and cultural questions regarding the agricultural productivity, consumption of local products and infrastructure of the rural environment are in the focus of interest.
The Wielkopolska-project stimulates regional awareness
The project «Teacher training in the regional context as part of sustainable development in Poland« connects three initiatives for a sustainable regional development: the integration of education into the teacher training at the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan, the planning and establishing of an educational institution in connection with an ecologically-oriented farm as also the planning and development of active marketing measures for regional high-quality products. Four universities work together with local actors in an interdisciplinary manner.
