Not only in this field a downward trend gains weight when it is about an active voluntary commitment. There is obviously need for action: without unsalaried working citizens, effective and covering nature conservation all over Germany is impossible. In addition to nature conservation done by organisations and authorities, honorary commitment is one of the important pillars in protecting our nature.
Competition campaigning for commitment
The voluntary service of many citizens is key for conservation and support of most different habitats and the protection of flora and fauna. And this way, an effective public relations is necessary: wide-ranged ideas, actions, excursions and programmes deliver fascinating insights in nature conservation. Primary intention is to rise an emotional interest and to produce ideas and own commitment. Everyone has the possibility to lobby for our nature – and done complimentarily, it needs many volunteers. Nature conservation needs offspring – and that is how ZDF and DBU would like to win the young generation over: with the competition and the subsequent support of multipliers.
