The Mirrox’ Fresnel Collector Systems generate solar process heat which is ideally suited for production processes in the food and textile industry as well as for solar cooling and air con-ditioning. The Fresnel panels concentrate sunlight with uniaxially tracked mirrors and focus it on a vacuum absorber tube. Suitable locations for Fresnel collector systems include all re-gions with a high direct normal irradiance on the earth’s sunbelt. The Freiburg company Mir-roxx GmbH offers a leading collector technology for temperatures from 120 °C to 400 °C for the on-site production of solar process heat. Even now the Fresnel collectors are economi-cally advantageous for industrial process heat applications.

Solar cooling helps to reduce the electricity requirement for the air conditioning of buildings - especially during the summer peaks. The Mirroxx Fresnel collector is ideally suited for air conditioning and due to the high operable temperature range has particular advantage com-pared with conventional systems. The hot heat transfer medium – either water, vapour or thermo-oil – activates an absorption refrigeration engine that can generate temperatures be-low freezing.
