The church is the second biggest employer in Germany. Responsible for 1, 2 Million employees it can substantially contribute to environmental protection and enablement of future. Annual purchases for kitchens, conference houses, asylums and hospitals go into the billions. Therefore, the environmental officers of the catholic and the protestant church have developed a project for the implementation of sustainable purchase solutions into 80 church institutions.

No matter if bananas, tea or T-shirts - we opt for a better world if we buy fair trade products. “Fair Trade” ensures social working conditions and minimum prizes for its local partners, and investment of proceeds in development projects.

Fair trade is a simple, yet effective way to protect the climate without passing on a healthy and enjoyably nutrition – just by relying more on vegetable foods and organic, seasonal and regional products, which are fresh and almost untreated.

About a third of domestic carbon emissions arise from electricity consumption. Therefore, saving energy and opting for clean power are simple measures of climate protection.

Opting for a bank which offers options for sustainable investment, the living and working conditions of many people aa well as biodiversity can be positively affected.
