High-performance Turbo-diesel Motors and Piston Machines with Double Crankshaft Technology

Neander Motors has developed a pioneering, innovative technology

Neander Motors has developed a pioneering, innovative technology that creates a new generation of more economical and environmentally-friendly diesel motors and air compressors: the »double crankshaft«.

Unlike those in normal cars, the brakes in buses and trucks function with air pressure instead of brake fluid due to the high operating force. The resulting environmental problem: because of process-related weaknesses the current air compression technology allows some 2.000 tons of lubricating oil annually to reach the environment. Through production of compressed air by means of Neander Motors AG’s oil-free compressor, this can be avoided.

Moreover, the compressed air filter cannot oil up, and harmful residual oil deposits in the pneumatic brake system are likewise avoided. This results in considerable savings in service costs and reduces the rate of failure.

In addition, the concept offers the possibility of regulating the air intake of the compressor with minimal technical difficulty, when the full compressor capacity is only required for up to 15 % of the truck’s running time. This regulation process alone reduces noise and can save up to 500 liters of fuel per year.
