KEEP COOL mobile - the game about climate policy.

In the free game-App KEEP COOL, the first mobile multiplayer game about climate policy, young people assume the leadership of major cities and become actors in global climate politics: they decide about their economic strategy, but find themselves increasingly subject to climate effects. A constant balancing act between individual and collective action is required in order to be successful.

The project is being coordinated by the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg together with the company Eduversum GmbH and Lehrer-Online.de, the service and information portal for teachers. With up to 50 players, exciting and tense negotiations are in the cards – a strong communications tool connects the players. The web-App is mobile and can be deployed at the desktop.

KEEP COOL mobile is designed for young people aged 14 and older and for young adults. It is especially appropriate for those attending school in grades 8 through 13 and for their teachers, for extracurricular educational institutions, and for youth groups. To accompany the game, the internet portal Lehrer- Online.de offers a related lesson selection with many materials on the game’s core subjects, and practical teaching ideas.
