In recent years, many graduates from different universities in Romania have applied for fellowships. A total of 70 fellowships have been awarded so far. Many fellowship holders come from the fields of engineering, biology, geography, food technology, horticulture, but also from the fields of chemistry, horticulture and law.
We would like to explicitly point out that applications from the social and economic sciences are also very welcome.

In September 2009, the fellowship holders who have been sponsored so far came together in the USAMV Cluj Napoca (Klausenburg) to found a DBU Alumni Association in Romania (further information here).
The Alumni Association organizes an annual alumni meeting in Romania and supports the DBU in announcing the fellowship programme in Romania.
