In March 2007, the European Union has agreed to meet 20% of the overall energy consumption by renewable energies in 2020. Even though in the Renewables Directive for the electricity sector (2001/77/EC) no agreement was made for an EU-wide support mechanism, the harmonisation of support schemes is still a mid- and long-term objective of the European Commission and the European Parliament. The PhD project analyses the co-ordination (bottom-up) and harmonisation (top-down) of renewable electricity support mechanism based of feed-in tariffs by comparing three countries (Germany, France and Spain). The development of national support schemes is evaluated, taking into consideration political science convergence theories. Based on the theoretical concept of so-called advocacy coalitions the actors? positions regarding this policy are shown. Die Europäische Union hat sich im März 2007 darauf verständigt, bis zum Jahre 2020 mindestens 20% der Primärenergienachfrage aus erneuerbaren Energien zu decken. Auch wenn in der Erneuerbaren-Richtlinie für den Strombereich (2001/77/EG) keine Einigung auf ein europaweites Förderinstrument erzielt werden konnte, ist die Harmonisierung der Förderinstrumente weiterhin mittel- und langfristige Zielsetzung der Europäischen Kommission und des Europäischen Parlaments.Das Promotionsvorhaben untersucht die koordinierte (bottom-up) oder harmonisierte (top-down) Förderung von Regenerativstrom im Rahmen von Einspeisevergütungsmodellen anhand einer Ländervergleichsstudie (Deutschland, Frankreich und Spanien). Die Entwicklung der nationalen Förderinstrumente wird unter Berücksichtigung politikwissenschaftliche Konvergenztheorien untersucht. Zudem werden mit Hilfe des Advocacy Koalitionsansatzes die verschiedenen Positionen der Akteure in diesem Politikfeld analysiert.
