Die Kapselung des anaeroben Mikroorganismus mit der Verwendung in der Landwirtschaft als nicht chemisches Düngemittel

Stipendiatin/Stipendiat: Oana Lelia Pop

The replacement of chemical fertilizers is an issue that have multiple possibilities in order to sustain soil resources and provide a healthy economy. The use of these types of fertilizers (chemical) cause overgrowth of aquatic vegetation and degradation of water quality due to extra nitrogen accumulation, decrease the soil's quality and heightens the acidity which further registers a bad impact on the plant growth. An interesting option for decreasing the use of chemical fertilizers could be the exploration of plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB). These bacteria may provide a natural and harmless means to improve the growth and yield of crops (Hernandez, J.P., 2009), thereby minimizing the use of agrichemicals. These PGPB can be isolated from the soil. We are looking for the optimal formula to encapsulate these anaerobic bacteria, in order protect the viability of the bacteria in wet and dry capsules, at room temperature. The next target will be the delivery of the bacteria in the soil. This project aims to develop microencapsulation technologies of wet and dry beads containing plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB) as biodegradable carriers for the PGPB and controlled release in the soil.
