Mega-event-led brownfield regeneration can be a tool to tackle built environment problems, a catalyst for long-term development such as brownfield regeneration. Mega-events are a great catalyst for urban change, but lack a comprehensive sustainable approach to development and well thought out legacy plans which are measured and realistic.
