In order to help teachers better explain the complex relationships involved in climate change, and to help students better understand them, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (“Potsdam-Institut für Klimafolgenforschung”, PIK) has developed an online portal in cooperation with the Berlin-Brandenburg State Institute for Schools and Media (“Landesinstitut für Schule und Medien Berlin-Brandenburg”, LISUM).
At www.klimafolgeonline.com teachers, students and administrative bodies can generate simulations on the development of the climate. The interactive web platform makes the complicated cycles and sequences of climate change more comprehensible for students and teachers, in an exemplary and transparent manner.
