As part of his trip to Germany, the Turkish President Abdullah Gül visited in mid-September together with Federal President Christian Wulff the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt in Osnabrueck. The economist from Kayseri informed himself about the work of the world's largest environmental foundation. Gül was very impressed about the innovative spirit of the many projects.
He found also praising words for the DBU environmental and media project »Environment Builds Bridges« where for the first time also Turkish schools have been included. Together with young German people the participants research environmental projects in Germany and Turkey and then report in German and Turkish newspapers about their work. By signing the partnership Gül and Wulff took over the patronage for the project.
