Typical rinsing systems in circuit board production use some 3,000 mᵌ of elaborately prepared purified water annually. The AKON GmbH company of Westhausen has developed a special impulse nozzle for this rinsing process This pulseSTREAM technology can be integrated into existing systems without great expenditure. In extensive testing with mass production in Germany and Korea, the water intake of the rinsing apparatuses was consistently reduced by around 15%. In addition to reduced water use, there is a demonstrable reduction in production times, and thus in energy use, as well.
