Wind energy, photovoltaics, energy storage, smart grids, electrification of motorized traffic—rare earths and other strategic metals are an important prerequisite for the successful transition to the post-fossil-fuels age. A convention on this subject will take place on February 25th and 26th, 2013 in the Evangelical Academy of Tutzing (Evangelische Akademie Tutzing), whereby the focus in the energy transition—in addition to climate protection—will be directed with new urgency toward the resources and thus the material preconditions for that transition. All relevant actors from the fields of science, economics, politics, non-governmental organizations and the media are cordially invited.
