2.) “Adventure: Evolution” in the Darwineum in Rostock

In the Darwineum at the Rostock Zoo, guests are taken on an exciting time-travel excursion through the history of human development on the trail blazed by Charles Darwin. The modern Tropical Hall represents the beating heart of the Darwineum. The sunken, 4,000-square-meter Tropic House, created as a new home for gorillas and orangutans, is embedded within two exhibition spaces and surrounded by a generous 10,000 square-meter outer facility for the primates. The DBU funding was directed toward the installation of a level for children and adolescents in the exhibition area. There, the biological diversity of life and its progress via evolution will be made manifest in two exhibition areas with more than 50 animal species.
