Reinraum die innovative Beschichtung

2.) Environmentally-friendly Lamination thanks to Foil-Coating Technology

Traditional coating and lamination processes are, as a rule, quite energy- and material-intensive. A new, low-energy and efficient method of coating application is Foil-Coating Technology. In production, synthetic carrier foils are layered in a direct-application process, under "clean room conditions". The crucial advantages: the cumbersome and energy-intensive spray-coating process is done away with, as is any emission of solvents during the coating process. Since "overspray" is completely avoided, the job efficiency factor is substantially higher.

The technology developed by KARL WÖRWAG Lamination and Paint Factory GmbH & Co KG of Stuttgart, Germany can completely replace the existing lamination process. This innovative procedure makes it possible to laminate synthetic component parts with 50% savings in materials, and energy-use reductions of 60%. The WÖRWAG KG has brought Foil-coating Technology for the lamination of synthetic windows and auto parts to readiness for industrial use.

Synthetic window frames and parts can be laminated and layered with a decorative foil-coating to achieve a high chemical resistance, and an equally impressive light- and weather-protection factor, in the overall design. In vehicle manufacture, roof rails for autos, with a new type of transfer varnish, are now available. This renders a high-quality, visually appealing and versatile malleable coating. The first products utilizing this coating are already on the market.
