The basis of economic ethics is the application of ethical principles in the sphere of economic activity. This has always involved the discussion of controversial issues surrounding economic and/or corporate ethics. The German Economic Ethics Network (Deutsche Netzwerk Wirtschaftsethik, DNWE) has committed itself to the task of strengthening the role of ethics in the economic sphere and society in a coalescing world, and discussing openly the various problems and solutional perspectives associated with this subject. Related approaches and background on economics ethics issues were recently elucidated by Prof. Dr. habil.
