Energy-oriented building restoration not only improves energy efficiency and results in lower energy consumption and related costs: it also enhances residential comfort, and thus the general quality of life, in renovated one- and two-family housing units. This is the finding of a representative study by FORSA on behalf of the DBU, as can be read in the new DBU publication “Energy Modernization of One- and Two-Family Houses”. It contains instructive and revealing contributions on the issues of fire safety, protection against mold growth during renovation, und biocide-free façade construction.
