2.) Four new start-ups in the DBU funding program

Digital advice for small electric vehicles, a global tip, smart windows and a sensor that measures plant stress: Newbility from Tettnang, Tip me Global from Berlin, Nanoscale Glasstec from Kassel and Phytoprove Pflanzenanalytik from Frankfurt a. M. have convinced with these ideas. They will therefore receive technical and financial support from the DBU's Green Start-up Program.

"Since mid-2019, we have selected 22 young companies. They are all making a contribution shaping a more sustainable future and exploiting the opportunities of digitalization for the environment and society", said Dr. Stefanie Grade, coordinator of the DBU Start-up Program.

The ideas and concepts of the start-ups have been examined by internal and external experts from various disciplines with regard to their level of innovation, market potential, ability to be implemented and sustainability challenge. The best were invited to a so-called pitch, in which the young entrepreneurs presented their start-up.

DBU supports green start-ups
The Green Start-ups of today are the market leaders of tomorrow - according to this view, the DBU has been increasingly supporting green founders or teams of founders since last year. Since June 2019, 22 start-ups have been brought in for funding. The Green Start-up Special Program is enjoying high demand and a further increase in the proportion of female founders.
