We are pleased to invite you for the "5th Conference on Saproxylic Beetles". The meeting will be from June 14 to June 16, 2008 in Lueneburg, Germany. Oral and poster contributions (in English) are welcome.

The conference covers all aspects of saproxylic beetle ecology, biology and nature conservation. Submissions on these topics and taxonomic work are very welcome. However, as the purpose of this meeting is also to reveal the importance and responsibility of saproxylic insects for processes on a landscape or ecosystem level, we are encouraging the submission of contributions dealing with these issues.
There will be two field trips during the meeting to learn about landscape history in north-western Germany and to visit habitats of threatened saproxylic beetles.
