1. DBU-projects at the Fair IFAT: `Energy from Waste Water 'and` Sustainable Aquaculture'

From 13 - 17 September IFAT ENTSORGA in Munich, the World Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Material Sectors, opens its gates. Especially in water and sewage treatment it shows an impressive growth.

A total of 2,000 exhibitors are expected, including the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt with a large stand in Hall C3.226.
In the focus are the topics 

• Heat from waste water / biomass
• Sustainable Aquaculture 

The following six exhibitors show their products and services:

  • Busse GmbH (Leipzig) – Biomembranefiltration in circulating water systems for fish farming,
  • LimnoMar (Hamburg) - New substrates for recycling in mariculture production lines of fish farming,
  • City of Aurich - Waste heat recovery from waste water using external heat exchangers to heat a multi-functional hall,
  • Chemin GmbH (Augsburg) - Biomass combustion for detecting damages to the system efficiency due to corrosion and contamination of the heat exchanger surfaces,
  • German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) - Dissemination of knowledge and the energy potential of waste heat from sewer systems / Energy efficiency in water management, and
  • LimnoTec Sewage Systems (Hille) - Exemplary implementation of a largely self-sufficient energy and material cycle management in the treatment of rinse water and vegetables in the food industry remains at the example of a vegetable processing plant.

Together with the Federal Ministry of Research and Development (BMBF) and the DWA, offers the DBU an Innovation Forum on Research and Development in the Water Sector in the International Congress Centre with several project presentations daily from 10 -12 a.m.
