DBU Convention Centre Awarded
In mid-April, the DBU Convention Centre, “Zentrum für Umweltkommunikation, ZUK” was granted the " Special Award for Corporate Social Responsibility and Ecology” by the European Association of Event Centres, EVVC. The spokesman of the jury, Professor Gerd Schwandner (right) praised the winner as a "reference object for an ecological concept with an excellent ecological balance and sustainability at a very favourable cost-benefit ratio”, and also said, that all of the conferences and events held in the Zentrum für Umweltkommunikation were Green Meetings. “For the first time an ecological concept with highest content requirements for all events has been realized in a German conference centre.” Dr. Markus Große Ophoff, Technical Director of the ZUK, was pleased to receive the certificate from Gerd Schwandner and EVVC President Joachim King (left).
