Former DBU scholarship student Toni Meier (photo) turned up some interesting information while doing research at the University of Halle-Wittenberg, on the subject of the nutritional habits of men and women. »If all men in Germany were to adopt the typical eating habits of women - with meat and sausage products reduced by half and a greater portion of vegetables, fruit and grains in their place - a space of some 15,000 square kilometers inside and outside the country would be made available for other purposes. That corresponds roughly to the size of the German state of Schleswig-Holstein«, Meier asserts.
