Environmental- and climate protection do not hold an especially high status in the national consciousness of Poland’s population. A prize for climate protection, renewable energies and energy efficiency, which was recently created for journalists, has as its goal the encouragement of a social debate in Poland on these subjects, in order to bring them wider attention. The program was organised by the press agency D.A.W. Maxpress in close cooperation with the Environmental Journalists Club EKOS (both of Warsaw) and the German Embassy in the Polish capital.
