26 selected DBU scholarship recipients and alumni from the doctoral scholarship and MOE scholarship exchange programs were received in Berlin by President Joachim Gauck during “Environmental Week”. At three subject tables they discussed with the President, who was accompanied by DBU trustee Dr. Georg Schütte, their intercultural experiences in Germany, the challenges associated with interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity, the compatibility of career and family, and their general personal perspectives for the future in science.
