On September 21st, 2016 Dr. Ingo Haug, a former DBU scholarship recipient, was named as a Professor at the Hochschule Bremen university. On the Faculty for Nature and Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Haug represents the fields of Energy Sector and Energy-Efficient Technologies. Since 2011 he has also been Professor at the Duale Hochschule of Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) in Mannheim in the fields Sustainable Energy Systems, Energy Sector, Mathematics and Informatics, as well as the Director of the Competence Center for Sustainable Energy Systems. Haug won his doctorate in 2000 at the Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research in Würzburg, with work in the area of energy transport through innovative light-directing elements.
