Shortly before the Climate Conference in Marrakech at the beginning of November, the presenters at a DBU symposium asked: “Is the Implementation of the Paris Agreement On Track?” The event on the day before the presentation of the German Environmental Prize in Würzburg thus took place in a historic context and placed climate change, as one of the four “Planetary Borders” – borders which, according to the previous year’s DBU prizewinner Johan Rockström, have already been crossed -- squarely in the center of the debate. The symposium was adeptly and thoughtfully moderated by Volker Angres (of the German public television network ZDF).
