For the construction of the new administration building for the foundation subsidiary DBU Natural Inheritance, dedicated in 2015, DBU Administrative Head Michael Dittrich – together with architect Marcus Huber from the architectural firm METARAUM in Stuttgart -- accepted one of the top prizes in the Lower Saxony Wood Construction competition in mid-November. The award was presented by Lower Saxony’s Minister of Consumer Protection, Christian Meyer. The prize jury emphasized that the design for the DBU building, which is completely function-oriented, avoids superfluous design elements. “Increasing the acceptance level for wood construction – and thereby its increased use – is an especially important issue for us,” said Dittrich in accepting the prize.
