On April 30th of this year, Cajus Caesar retired from the Board of the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU). Caesar joined the body on 1 May, 2014 and was the Director of the Natural Inheritance Advisory Council of the DBU. He was dedicated, in particular, to the subjects forest development and ecological construction, especially with wood. On May 1st, 2017, Dr. Mathias Middelberg succeeded Caesar on the DBU Board. Middelberg will carry out this responsibility until 30 April 2019. This arrangement is based on an internal decision in the CDU/CSU delegation to the German Bundestag (Parliament), according to which Caesar took on the first, and Middelberg the second part of the period in office on the DBU Board.
